I was born Monserratte Hidalgo at
Jackson South Medical Center in Miami, Florida. My friends call me Monseh and I like to call myself Monseh The creator. My love for art began only as a little girl when my drawings caught my teacher's attention. My teachers through grade school would go on to tell my mother that I excelled in art and had great potential. This encouragement led me to the magnet art program at Southwood middle school where I'd further explore my talents and flourish in fine art. I continued my education in art at Miami Palmetto senior high school where I'd meet many new friends and supporters of me and my art. My junior year in high school I began to receive praise, and a growing following through designing senior crowns and custom sneakers. Seeing all the support from friends and even strangers pushed me to keep going with my passion for art. In that same year I collided with one of the biggest influences in my art at the rolling loud festival. I was captivated by all of the art pieces that surrounded the festival grounds and I decided to mix my love for art with my love for music and started painting brightly colored unique portraits of my favorite rappers. This was a major turning point in my career and I think it's where I truly found my niche. I like to create many different kinds of art and express myself through multiple forms of media. I get most of my inspiration from the world around me, people, their interests, and pop culture. I envision my ideas and I make them come to life. Today, I am a student at Miami dade college furthering my art education majoring in animation. I work in hospitality to support my art career and buy art supplies so I can continue to do what I love to do. My wish is to one day fully pursue my art career and put my talent on display for the world to enioy.
